Visit Philly
This first approach is an evolution to the sizzle video that launched “Come for Philadelphia. Stay for Philly.” It works to create a structure that can be repeated, and leans into the seasonality as more than just a theme – but the reason why you should visit for a weekend and stay an extra day.
The Visit Philly creative project aims to showcase the duality of Philadelphia, highlighting the expected versus the unexpected aspects of the city. With the tagline, "Come for Philadelphia. Come for Philly.," the project invites people to explore beyond the clichés and discover the hidden gems and local favorites that make Philadelphia a unique destination.
As the Art Director of this project, my goal was to create a visually captivating experience that would capture the essence of Philadelphia's vibrant personality. Working alongside Austin Millz, we collaborated on crafting an energetic and dynamic beat that would complement the piece perfectly. The music needed to convey a sense of speed, personality, and boldness, reflecting the city's spirit.
The final result combines bold typography, engaging music, and swift animations, creating an immersive and exciting journey through the contrasting aspects of Philadelphia. By marrying these elements, we aimed to captivate viewers and pique their curiosity about the lesser-known side of the city.
Through this project, we strive to showcase that Philadelphia is more than just cheesesteaks; it is a city filled with hidden gems waiting to be explored. Whether it's the vibrant street art scene, the thriving local businesses, or the unique neighborhoods, Philadelphia offers a diverse and unexpected experience for visitors.
Overall, the Visit Philly project celebrates the city's rich culture, inviting travelers to delve beyond the surface and discover the vibrant tapestry that makes Philadelphia truly one-of-a-kind.
